How it all started

My journey began at the piano with a deep passion for music and musical expression.  I studied classical piano from a very early age, and soon after I pursued music composition and improvisation. Despite not fitting the traditional cast of a concert pianist during the 1980s, I actively performed and competed nationally under the tutelage of Jean Boardman.

I expanded my musical horizons at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, studying composition and performance with some of the most renowned musicians and composers in the world. I have spent decades teaching music and mentoring musicians of all ages and abilities.

Intrigued by the transformative power of music, I became very interested in cognitive behavioral sciences.  I completed a four-year graduate program at NWSH, combining Core Energetics and Brennan Energy Work with cognitive behavioral therapy-adjacent methodologies.  At NWSH, I deepened my skillset as a health practitioner and coach, increasing my skills in discernment and empathy.

During my studies at NWSH and beyond,

I also gained practical experience in the corporate world, consulting and coaching teams on leadership development, lean systems, strategy, and culture.  Senior leaders began to hire me privately to aid in their own development.   I coached privately and also taught privately at the piano, integrating coaching and the study of music for many of my clients.

Most recently, I  updated my certification as a coach, completing full coaching certification with Jay Shetty, further enhancing my skills and knowledge as a coach and keeping up to date on the latest coaching methods and techniques.  I'm committed to my clients and to helping them achieve their goals and live more fulfilling lives.
